Nine Month Update

So here I am, three-quarters of the way through year one. I'm 21lbs, 9oz, and believe it or not, I almost need a hair cut...I have split ends, what will all the other children say!? I have had four teeth for quite some time and now two have broken through on the top. I can also feel that my two front top teeth are about to break through as well--somebody, please give me something cold and hard to bite on. I'm not crawling yet, but I do move around quite effectively on my butt and rotate a little on my tummy. Although, I'm still not wild about tummy time. Recently, I've started demanding to be pulled up so I can stand. It gives me a whole new perspective on life as well as a glimpse of what life will be like when I'm a little older. I'm actually quite strong and it really only takes a little lifting by mommy or daddy and a little thrust of my hips and...I'm vertical. Previously, I liked to keep my interests mobile...you can add vertical to my preferences as well.

Did I mention I graduated to a big boy car seat? Next thing you know, I'll be driving.

I been told babies can be the catalyst for many changes in families and my arrival, among other factors, has inspired mommy and daddy to put the house up for sale, looking for a bigger place to accommodate my myriad collection of toys, clothes, and other baby-inspired paraphernalia which is consuming the living room, my bed room and the basement. Hopefully--go ahead, cross those fingers--we'll be partying in a new pad when I turn one!

In closing, a special shout-out to Cousin Luke for the continues flow of clothing. He's one long and lean guy and I really appreciate the fact that he is outgrowing clothes at a pace that "suits" me just fine (I'm a very punny baby!).

Friday Night Pizza with Nana & Grandpa

Play Group Does Halloween

These are going to come back to haunt all of us on a future prom night...

Thinking "Inside the Box"

Oh, How Cute!

Communing with Nature

Well, not exactly, more like watching Mommy and Daddy powerwashing the deck and the back of the house in preparation of putting the house up for sale. It doesn't exactly sparkle, but, there is no more "green stuff" coating anything. And, in case you were interested, those power washers are aptly named, as I even got a little wet sitting in the middle of the yard, fairly far away from the machine.

Burrrr...Fall Is Upon Us

Mommy and I have been enjoying the nice fall weather we've been having, but boy, can it be cool in the shade. I'm mostly interested in small things within reach that I would like to put in my mouth. And as you can see below, falling leaves very easily grab my attention and make me a difficult photography subject for a camera-wielding mom.

Crawling? Not Yet

I'm kinda crawling backwards right now and Mommy and Daddy keep putting me on my belly, telling me I need "more tummy time." This is me patting my pat-mat, which will pop and flodd the living room someday, if I have my way!

Uncle Louis got down at baby-eye-level to take these candids while I was visiting with Grandpa and Grandmom

Bethesda Bulletin

As last reported, Mommy and I were headed to Bethesda for some quality time with the grandparents in the Metro-DC area. I had a good time, was apparently "ferberized," and managed to solidify my friendship with Maggie the dog, who is technically a canine Aunt. I took in some of our nation's capital and avoided being eaten by dinosaurs or pricked by procupines at the Museum of Natural History.

Grandpa Matt and I played solitaire while Maggie sniffed around for possible food sightings that I might leave behind.

Basket Case?

Nah...but, Mommy and Daddy are when I decide not to sleep at night...ha, ha, ha! I helped Mommy do laundry before we left for another trip to Bethesda to see the grandparents. I don't know what was packed for me to wear, but I know it was clean.

Baby Laundry

For the record, I was not in "time out" or anything like that. I thought this was a blast, but it "hampers" my ability to move around (I'm a very punny baby).
